About Us

Step by Step Christian School is a privately owned non-denominational Christian child care and educational facility.  We opened our doors in 1982 to offer childcare, preschool and elementary school education for children.  We also offer before and after school care.

The Principal of our Elementary School is Mrs. Nancy Davis, who has a M.A. in Education and has been teaching for about thirty-five years.  She designed the curriculum used in preschool and kindergarten and decides on the curriculum used in Grades 1 through 8.  She supervises the teachers and students to make sure they are following the school guidelines and achieving our goals.

We are located in Tomball, Texas at 1119 South Cherry Street.  Tomball, Texas is in Northwest Harris County about 30 miles from Houston.  The Step by Step Christian School sits on six acres and includes two buildings, a swimming pool (where lessons are taught during the summer), four playgrounds for children of different ages, and a large pavilion painted with games.  Click on the link below for a map.

We set high expectations and maintain above average educational standards. We receive no outside funding and have no benefactors who make donations of any kind.  We are not supported by any church or group.  All of our funding is provided by student tuition.  We have a fall fundraiser and an auction in the spring to provide money for special needs.
