Step By Step Christian School has many needs that can only be met through the unselfish giving of parents' time and talents. Not only is this help and assistance needed to operate the school, but the students recognize the input that their parents contribute to Step By Step. Our volunteers are the mainstay of our library, substitute teachers, teacher's aides, room moms and dads in charge of class parties and field trips, and our fund-raising events.
The Family Work Service Hours Program at Step By Step Christian School promotes fellowship among the parents, staff and students, and supports our school in a variety of areas. Parents add enthusiasm and many skills ensuring excellence in our programs. The support of all of our families is vital.
A family's suggested commitment can be met by May 15, 2003 in two ways:
10 hours of service; or
a payment of $100.00
If a family is unable to complete all service and desires to do so, a payment of $10.00 per hour may be made to fulfill the family commitment.
Completed hours are usually granted on an hour credit per hour worked basis. Each family member who works may receive credit. A separate "Family Work Service Hours Form" is to be filled out for each project. Forms are available on the library counter.
It is the family's responsibility to complete the Family Work Service Hours Forms and place them in one of the Family Work Service Hours boxes located on the library counter. The Family Work Service coordinator will record all hours submitted and provide a periodic report to each family.
